A downloadable Marisa

UPDATE: V1.04 - Fixed collectible softlock, and you can now press escape during dialogue cutscenes and the mushroom cutscene to skip it (invaluable to speedrunnners!)

Do you find Marisa Kirisame from Touhou getting high off mushrooms to be funny? Well, I don't care because you are going to play this game anyway. In this roughly 10-15 minute game, you will feel joy, hardship, sorrow, sexual arousal, and everything in-between.

In this game you play as Marisa Kirisame, a famed main character of Touhou Project. One uneventful day in the Forest of Magic, Marisa discovers a new type of mushroom that she has never encountered before! Upon eating this mushroom, her spirit becomes metaphorically rock hard and she is never the same again. She must go on a journey to find more of these mysterious mushrooms to satiate her craving for more four-dimensional experiences.

Gameplay features a combination of platformer stages with a Touhou style danmaku/bullet hell bosses (don't worry, it's not that hard). Arcade style, meant to be played in one sitting. Minor but insignificant bugs might appear. Avoid explosive fumos nefariously created by the CCP, jump over yukkuri pits, dodge fairies and ying-yang orbs, find collectibles, and more await you in the game! Soundtrack is composed of many chiptune style remixes of some classic Touhou songs remixed by yours truly.

Here are some reviews:

"I'm still addicted to crack but that girl with the blue hair is funny."

- Homeless Man

"ramaseta, famous member of the Nya Guys, has really outdone himself this time with this game. The game's message is just a really good message to spread and is just an overall great game in general. I've never played Touhou before but I'm sure this game sums it up pretty well."

- Anonymous

"The bullet hell bosses aren't particularly impressive and the platformer segments are just stupid."

- Asshole

"大家好,我是洪美玲。我只想说,"玛丽莎吃蘑菇嗑药 "很可能是我玩过的最伟大的游戏,是电子游戏世界中的一个里程碑。"

- Hong Meiling

Meiling seal of approval! You HAVE to play it now!

DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN TOUHOU PROJECT. Touhou Project is a property of Team Shanghai Alice and ZUN. This is a fan-game of Touhou Project without any aims or intention of making money or for any malicious intent.

This is just a dumb little fan-game I made to get my foot in the door of game development, so don't take it too seriously! I've messed around in game engines before but never really put my nose to the grindstone to make a project before, so I took a property and series I really liked and went with it! It was a fun and very educational experience, and I'm excited to work on more games in the future.

Nah, it was a bug. I fixed it and another bug in that battle. Also, the concept of speedrunning this is pretty funny.
